70-461 and 70-761 validity and recommendation

Hi,

Both the exams 70-461: Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014 and 70-761: Querying Data with Transact-SQL will be retiring on 31st January 2021. I understand that one cannot take the exam after that date.

But how long will the certification remain valid and be countable in both the cases?
Which one is more recommended ?

What are the student discount prices on both the certifcations?
I have verified my student profile, however I still cant see the discounted price.

Hello Oj_sh,

 

Please be advised that if you pass the required exams before they expire, you will earn the certification and it will appear and remain on your certification transcript.

 

The relevance of those certifications depends on your current (and future) job roles and how valuable that certification is to your employer and organization and to the work that you do.

 

With regards to student discount prices, this will show upon the exam registration after entering the payment information.
