Hi all,

I was wondering how our college gets verification for our domain so students can access student discount on Microsoft exams?

Hi Tomas,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community.

It's nice knowing you have an interest about Academic verification and I'd love to help you with that.

If you are referring to Microsoft academic discount offer, this academic pricing on Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) exams is available in most countries (except India and China).

You will be able to enter your academic information by signing into the  Microsoft Certification Dashboard.

To get a student discount, you need to identify yourself first as a student in your Microsoft Certification profile and then verify your academic status. Once verified, you will be able to receive the student discount when registering for an exam.

Please see the steps below on how to identify yourself as a student in your Microsoft Certification profile and get verified your academic status.

1.       Sign into your Microsoft Certification Dashboard with your Microsoft account credentials.

2.       Select “Edit your certification profile” at the top of the page.

3.       To edit your profile, select the pencil icon next to “Certification profile”.

4.       In the “Job title” dropdown, select “Student”.

5.       Look for the academic pricing notice that appears below the “Job title” dropdown.

6.       You can verify your academic status with any of the methods below. Select the method you prefer from the main menu. Follow the on-screen instructions for the verification method of your choice.

·         School-issued email account.

·         School network credentials.

·         International Student Identity Card (ISIC).

·         Verification code from a Microsoft representative or your institution’s administrator.

·         Documentation (acceptable documentation is a dated student ID, current progress report, current dated class schedule, or acceptance letter to the school of higher education).

As such, you can visit this page to get to know more about Student discounts and how to apply for student status when registering for an exam.
