Am I allowed to schedule an exam through Pearson VUE even though I'm a student? (see photo)

The reason I want to register through Pearson VUE is that they offer 30% discount to students. I don't think Certiport offers one or am I wrong? What's the difference between Pearson VUE and Certiport anyway?

I appreciate you interest in knowing about scheduling your AZ-900 exam. Allow me to provide further information on this matter.

If you want to take advantage of your 30% student discount for your AZ-900 exam, it is highly suggest scheduling your appointment through Pearson Vue, as the Certiport has a different process of student discount.

To resolve the issue, you must identify yourself as a student in your certification profile.

After you have completed your profile, you are now ready to schedule your exam with VUE registration site using the student discount option in job title field.

  1. Go to Pearson VUE website and select the Login button halfway down the page on the right (below the Microsoft logo): Microsoft: Pearson VUE

  2. This will take you to the Microsoft Learn site page where all Microsoft Certification exams are listed, and each title is linked to the individual exam page. Select the exam you want to take.

  3. Select the orange exam button in the 'schedule exam' section on the left.

  4. This will take you to your Microsoft profile dashboard. Verify that your information is up-to-date, and that 'student' is selected in the job title field.

  5. Select the Edit Profile link- this is a mandatory step.

  1. Select the blue Save and continue button on the bottom right of the page.

  2. A message pops appears: “Congrats! You’re verified for academic discounts.”

Please know that student discount will apply on the Check-out page. Hence, kindly check if the total amount was reduced.

Should you experience the same error, kindly send us the complete PSR (Problem Steps Recorder) from the time you sign in until it shows the error message along with the requested information I have initiated in the private message.
