An unexpected technical error has occurred. Contact customer service

While scheduling Microsoft exam via Microsoft’s website > Pearson Vue, I get the following error message: "An unexpected technical error has occurred. Contact customer service" at the Checkout – Step 2 of 3: Submit Order.

I have already contacted Pearson Vue customer support as well as several Microsoft support teams. However, no one has been able to resolve this issue.

 

Any idea what could cause this issue?

As per our discussion in the private messages, you were finally able to reach Pearson VUE and they've helped you reschedule your exam, so I will now go ahead and close the thread.
