Hi,
I did my AZ 500 exam in >removed< which expired last year and now I want to AZ100 for my Azure Security Arch Cert.
Also , if AZ 500 need to be renewed why I am not eligible for free renewal ?

Hi,
You need to have the Azure Security Engineer Active, expired certifications don't count.
You are only eligible for free renewal inside the renewal period. As the certification has expired last year that is no longer possible and you need to retake AZ-500.

As we understand from your post, your Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Certification has expired, and you would like to know if you could achieve the Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert Certificate by passing Exam SC-100. We are happy to help!
By design, a Certificate must be active to qualify towards the requirements to achieve a higher-level Certification.
Since your Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Certificate has expired, it does not count towards the requirements to earn the Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert Certification.
As stated in our expiration policy, after a Certification expires, it can no longer be renewed through the renewal assessment available on Microsoft Learn. In that case, candidates must complete all the Exams required to re-earn said Certification.
Once you pass Exam AZ-500 again and your Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Certificate is re-activated, passing Exam SC-100 will award you the Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert Certification.
