Hello, Michael.

Welcome to Microsoft's Community.

As we understand, you want to know why the badge visible on your Learn Profile associated with your Azure Data Fundamentals certification just displays the text "Fundamentals". We will gladly help.

Taking into account this information, we confirm that what in the mentioned badge, only represents that the certification belongs to the Fundamentals category. All Certificates are classified under three groups to provide clarity on the skill level of the Certification, as follows:

  • Level 1: Fundamentals

  • Level 2: Associate

  • Level 3: Expert

We have confirmed that the design of your Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals

is correct, you can verify the current design at the page of the certificate:

Franklin,

I do appreciate the response. Since the badge for my AZ-900 says "Azure Fundamentals" I assumed the DP-900 would specify that it's a "Data Fundamentals" to differentiate it from the other fundamental courses.

Kindest regards,

Hello, Michael.

We hope this message finds you well.

The specific label mentioned was available before the official badges system was retired.

Our new scheme has changed from 'Badge sharing-based' to a 'Certification shared-based' scheme.

To review the new system for sharing certificates, we invite you to visit the following website:
