Can an individual use pen and paper in AZ 305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions exam?

Hi Admin,

I am hoping to know provision of usage of pen and paper in AZ 305. Since AZ 305 majorly tests thinking and designing aspect of a solution in azure. It is evident that one has to make design work flows on a peice of paper for practical reasons especially for complex case studies.

I have observed that it is not allowed in the exam. In my case, while I was giving the test, pearson vue procter revoked my exam and their customer service asked to reach out to microsoft "Ask a Question" forum for this issue. While, I was 5 mins in the exam solving a case study, I disclosed truthfully to procter that I am using pen and paper and also asked if this is acceptable in the exam. Very Harshly, I was directly cut out, without any prompt from procter.

I have seen no instruction of any sort from microsoft or pearson vue which prohibits use of pen and blank paper while giving exam in the admit card. Kindly shed some light in this matter since I have suffered dearly in this expedition. I have been irresponsibly/wrongfully termitted from the exam without justification and did not get any intimation from pearson vue on this matter. Seeking help to at least retry the test since all preparation was for nothing. I also reached out earlier regarding this. Unfortunatly my discount coupon is also expired last week. Kindly assist.
