Can I recover my old MSCA certificates?

Hi,

I passed two MCSA exams in 2002 and 2006 I believe. I think the exams were passed on the same account I use now, but it has changed email address over the years. I can see on my dashboard a congratulations for passing the last exam I took, which was around the same time, so they seem to be still linked to the account in some way.

Is it possible to recover the certificates on this account so I can view and download them?

Thanks,

Karl

Answer

Hi Karl-Si,

Thank you for your response via private message.

Through the details you sent, I was able to locate your account and view your certificates. Your certification credentials are still under your Outlook email address.

In order for you to regain access to your account, I have refreshed your profile and generated an Access Code for you to use in associating your current/preferred email address to your Microsoft Certification Profile.

To do this, please follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Go to the Microsoft Certification Dashboard.
  2. Sign in with your preferred Microsoft account and password that you would like to link with your profile.
  3. Enter the MCID and Access Code (provided for you through the private message).

Once you have accomplished this, you won’t be asked to enter these details and you can now access your Certification profile using your Microsoft account and password. Furthermore, to ensure that your account will remain active, please make sure to access your account at least once in every 12 months.

I have also sent you copies of your certificates through private message. You can always view these on your Microsoft Certification Profile by doing these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft Certification Dashboard.
  2. On your dashboard, please click on “Download” under “Certificates”.
  3. Once on the Certificates page, choose the certificate that you would like to download and click the ‘PDF’ button.
  4. If you are using Microsoft Edge, a message at the bottom of the screen will appear, asking you to either open, save or cancel. Click “Save”.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.
