Cancelled exam due to taking a break - Pearson Vue

Hi All

Has anyone else had their exam cancelled when they were taking a bathroom break?

I was sitting a proctored AZ-104 exam and it clearly states that I can take a break.

I clicked the "Break" button which disables the test but keeps time running - clearly stated in the rules.

I went to the bathroom and when I came back I was told this is not allowed and is against the rules.

My exam was then just cancelled. No discussion.

I called Pearson and the only info they gave was "because I did not let the proctor know I was taking a break...". I told them there is a button that I clicked - obviously, this did not mean anything to them.

All they could give me is "it is being investigated and we will get back to you".

They also could not tell me when to expect someone to get back to me.

I find this quite demoralising and frustrating. Makes me want to never use Pearson again.

I have seen that there are many complaints like this for Pearson - are they in financial trouble that they need to cancel exams?

I have received an update with this case and regarding the "Break," Pearson VUE encountered a technical glitch that caused an issue with the unscheduled break communication feature. With this, kindly check private message for the resolution provided.
