CEERTIFICATION EXAMS FOR SERVER ADMINISTRATORS IN 2021

Good Morning Savviest,

I need some clarification please: being that MCSA, MCSD, MCSE certifications had been retired;

1. Which certification is used to replace these MCSA... in 2021?

2. Which exams to be written to get certified as Server Admin? (For example in MCSA 2016 we have 70-740, 70-741, 70-742; so in the new certification which one to be written)

3. What training to be done in preparation for the new certification exams, that's the courses to cover?

4. Any idea of cost of the training?

Please a quick answer would be appreciated because I’m planning to upgrade myself now.

Thanks in advance.

Answer

Hello, MrSteve.

Welcome to Microsoft Community. We hope this message finds you well.

We understand, you want to know the replacement of the MCSA.

All MCSA and MSCE Certifications are retired. The absence of replacements responds to Microsoft’s focus on Role-based Certifications.

There will not be Windows Server 2019 Certifications. The content will be included in role-based certifications on an as-needed basis for certain job roles in the Azure Apps & Infrastructure and Data & AI solution areas.

Please know that since the MSCA Certifications were retired and there are not available replacements at the moment. Check out our recommended role-based certifications:
