Certificate Renewal - Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate

Dear Microsoft Certification Support,

I recently discovered that the renewal notification for my Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification was never sent to my e-mail (checked both inbox and spam). My deadline for renewal was *Removed*. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline by a short duration of an hour as I checked it on *Removed* hoping I am early for the deadline time, as the deadline time is mentioned as UTC time at 11:59 PM on the date of expiration. But it is showing that the deadline was at *Removed*


I hold this certification with the highest regard and would really appreciate if I could get another opportunity for another valuable year. Please let me know if there is anything I can do from my side to help with this. Thank you.

Our candidates are eligible to take their renewal assessment and extend the validity of their certification on Microsoft Learn within a 6-month period prior to their expiration dates. They will also receive a notification when they are eligible to renew. Please note that the Microsoft Learn platform is the most reliable source for checking expiration dates and renewal options. Reminder emails are provided as a courtesy.

Regarding the renewal notifications:

  • Four (4) email notification reminders will be sent to the email linked to the candidate's email before their certification expires, in the following timeframes:

    • 6 months prior to certification expiring (renewal eligibility period starts, if renewal assessment for the certification is available)

    • 90 days prior to certification expiring.

    • 30 days prior to certification expiring.

    • 7 days prior to certification expiring (final reminder)

For additional information, steps and requirements for renewing your Certificate, please refer to the links below:

We apologize, but we are unable to extend your certification based on the Certification expiration policy (link below).

For future, please allow yourself enough time in advance of expiration to take certification renewal assessments, including time to retake an assessment if you do not successfully pass initially.

After the certification expires, you will no longer be able to renew that certification and will need to re-earn the certification by passing all the required exam(s).

Hi Victor,

As mentioned above, Microsoft never sent me any notification via e-mail (let alone 4 e-mails) and I was completely in the dark about this. On an information website, there is also mention that the certificate expires on the date of expiration at 11:59 PM UTC, but my certificate expired before the time. Given that there was some issues with the notifications on your side, it would be great if some allocations were made to give a one-off renewal for me. I would really value it. Please get back to me if you had any queries about this. I would be grateful if you could facilitate this. Thank you.
