Change the personal Microsoft account (MSA) associated with your certification profile to match Learn

Hi Microsoft Team,

Avanade learning network unable to fetch my transcript and I'm getting an error as "Invalid transcript format" though I allowed all the instructions. I have registered through my Gmail personal account instead of personal Microsoft account and linked to company account.

Kindly help with this...

Thanks,

Srilatha

Hi Srilatha.

After checking your account, we started the Email change process. This process will help us to show your certificates and associate your account with the email address that you want to associate with.

Please keep in mind that personal email is required when you are accessing the Microsoft Certified Professional platform, and scheduling Certification Exams, not a partner or organization Email address.

Please keep in mind that the Certification Profile must be associated with a personal email account. We highly recommend public domains such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo…This way we can be sure that there will be no problem to connect it to MS Learn and see the certifications: connect one Learn profile to your Certification profile. However, since you mentioned that the email account that you used to complete the migration steps is a personal account, the system might accept it as well.

Microsoft Certification profiles can be associated to a total of three E-mail addresses:

  1. An E-mail address is used to register and sign into the Certification Dashboard (Personal).

  2. An E-mail address that can be displayed in the Transcript and at the time of scheduling exams or modifying the Profile's information (referred to as Contact E-mail, this can be an organizational address).

  3. An organizational E-mail address that is associated to apply discounts given by your organization.

Once you set up your MCP profile with a personal MS account, you can link the profiles through these resources:

Follow the steps below to change your Email with this procedure called Migration.

  • Open your Microsoft Edge Browser and begin a Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing session by pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + N.

  • Sign in with the Microsoft Email Account that you want to use in your Microsoft's Certification Profile.

  • If you are shown an error message, please select the option “MCP HOME” which will direct you to Your Dashboard. You can then copy and paste the same link into the search bar on step. IMAGE

After completing these steps, the Migration screen should come up. The website should look like this: IMAGE

It will ask you for these details:

  • MCID:

  • Access Code:

To protect personal information, these credentials are provided via Private Message.

Please let us know if it works, we will be waiting for your confirmation.

Keep in mind that if no response is received, this case will be closed and locked after two business days.

Wishes,
