Error Code 50080 - Renewal of Exam AZ-104 expired

Hi there,



unfortunately I didn't manage to renew my certification of exam AZ-104 in time. Now I'm trying to re-do the exam, but get the following error message:


50080: Our records indicate that you have already taken this exam. You can only retake this exam if you previously failed it or it meets Microsoft’s exam retake policy.


I'm confused. What do I have to do to re-take the exam now? Or is there a way to still get a chance to take the renewal-exam instead?



Edit: I just talked to Pearson VUE Support, as this was recommended in another post. They told me that this is something Microsoft Support has to check.

Thank you for your patience throughout this process.


I have received an update from our Support team and they stated that they have overridden the retake policy for you to schedule the exam. They also notified you via email advising you to contact the Pearson VUE Support team so you may schedule the exam. You may try contacting them through this link: https://home.pearsonvue.com/microsoft/contact 

If this solves your problem, please indicate “Yes” to the question and the thread will automatically be closed and locked. In case we do not receive a response, the thread will be closed and locked after one business day.
