Exam 70-764 and 70-765 getting expired on 1/31/2021

Both exams 70-764 and 70-765 count towards MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration certification.

We don’t have a direct replacement for the said exams/certifications. Since Microsoft is focused on role-base certifications, content will be included on an as-needed basis for certain job roles.

On the other hand, you may refer to the image below for newer certifications that you can take advantage in line with your current certifications. To earn the certificate, please make sure to pass all exam requirements.

MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration falls under MCSE: Data Management and Analytics section.

After you passed the last exam required for the certification your transcript will be updated. It may also take up to 24 - 48 hours for the system to recognize your new certification status.
