Exam Content Issue on MTA 98-381 & MTA 98-382

Hi Support Agent,

We offer MTA examination services for our students. Few of them encountered issues on exam questions’ content, and ask us to see if there is support from your side. As they really get confused during the exam, so they provided us some of the question details, and following are their description on issues.

Case 1, a student participated in MTA 98-382 (Introduction to Programming Using JavaScript)

“There is a question about 2D array manipulation, create a 2D array and update value of each array element into “empty”. However, there is no workable selection for creating a 2D array and achieve the outcome as question said. Would there be a suggested answer?”

Case 2, a student participated in MTA 98-381 (Introduction to Programming Using Python)

“There are 2 questions in the exam that makes me a bit confusing.

Firstly, a question asked about how to convert an user input into whole number format, even the user types decimal number. However, the 4 options provided were not be able to achieve the result. What would be the official answer?

Secondly, another question asked about root of number, but the question description is a bit confusing for me, it is about giving 2 number inputs for returning a safe root. The question said, when input1 is negative and even, the result must be imaginary number, when input1 is negative and odd, a result of safe root should be calculated. However, there is an example: if input1 is -1, input2 is 2, (which is -1^(1/2) ) result should be imaginary number as well, which does not fits the description. May I know if there is any mistake from the question?”

It would be very appreciated if you can respond us through this post or contact us by email. We would like to hear from you soon.

Thank you!

Yours faithfully,

Gigi Yau
