Forgot which email i used to register my Microsoft certification exam - how can i gain access to it?

I took the exam yesterday, when i wanted to log on to view the score card i realised i forgot which email i used to register the exam. I checked all of my current Microsoft accounts that are my go-to but could not find the certification there. The Pearsonview exam invite, reminder and confirmation of completion(" readiness of score report") emails were sent to my g-mail account. I am able to varify my identity as i have a subscription in my name on one of my Microsoft accounts currently active. I also have a report score card for a different certification I took much earlier which has a photo of me. How can i access my score card for the exam I took yesterday.

Based on your inquiry, we understand you want to verify the personal account (MSA) associated with your Certification Profile to retrieve your exam. We will be happy to help you.

For most exams, you’ll be informed of your results within minutes. But it can take up to 24-48 hours for results to appear in your Learn profile’s Certifications tab.

To provide you with further assistance, we opened a Private Message where we have requested information related to your Certification Profile in order to verify it and properly assist you. You can find the access to the rivate Message on the top right corner of this screen, as shown in the image below.

I have responded to your personal message. I just wanted to clarify my issue for anyone else who is facing the same problem.

I can't provide the Microsoft email address and related MCID that I used to book the exam because this is exactly what I am trying to find out. My question was asking about the Microsoft email address used when purchasing the exam (If one was required). If the exam booking confirmation email is ONLY sent to my email used to purchase the exam booking, then the email used would be my g-mail account, which is the email I received the Pearson VUE exam booking confirmation as well as the report card link when I completed the exam. I also want to make clear that the computer I used to book the exam was from a organisational pc ( not the same pc used for the exam) the exam was payed for by the organization. The home address I provided to book this exam is the same as one I provided to book a different past exam I took last year, but the email address must be different because when I visit my account dashboard> certifications, I don't see the exam which I took yesterday.

Brilliant! thanks so much for your quick work. I replied to your private message with the MCID I would like the certification to be primarily linked to.

I am now faced with the problem that I do not want my certification(s) to be linked to any email addresses other than my own. After seeing which Microsoft account was used to book the exam, I now understand why I had forgotten which account was used - it is because the Microsoft account used was not mine, but the email of the individual who's laptop which i had permission to use in their presence to fill out my information as part of the exam booking process (Details and context in the private message response). I do not have access to their Microsoft account. However, the Gmail account used to access the link to the exam and report card is mine. Please advise on how I can resolve this issue.

Thank you for the information you kindly provided over direct communication, it is well appreciated.

Keep in mind that the e-mail address is associated at the moment that the exam is scheduled, since for security the system is not allowed to link any e-mail address to the account.

Thank you for confirming your desired MCID, since you want to first change the e-mail address associated with one of the account's, we have unlinked the e-mail address from the MCID, kindly complete the migration and as soon as it is completed, we will be able to proceed with the merge process.

To continue with this process, please follow these steps:

1. Start a Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing session (pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + N once the browser is open).

2. Copy and paste this link into the private window’s address bar https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/home/migrate

3. Sign in with a Microsoft account that has not been used in MS Certifications, different to the email account associated with the other MCID (if you do not have one, we invite you to create it Here). 

 

4. If you are shown an error message, please select the option “MCP Home” which will direct you to Your Dashboard, after that you can copy and paste the same link on step 2 in the same search bar. 

Image5. After you have followed the previous link, it will open a new window to Your Dashboard, as shown in the image below.

6. While being on Your Dashboard page, please delete the URL and paste this one: https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/home/migrate

7. After pasting the URL and clicking on enter, you will see this website. Please fill in the fields MC ID and Access code.

8. Fill in the fields with the following information:

  • MCID:

  • Access Code:

To protect personal information, these credentials are provided via Private Message.

We will be waiting for your response, if no response is received, the case will be closed and locked after two business days.

That's brilliant, thankyou for everything, I have followed your instructions using an alternative email. When i got to step 8, I used the MCID and Access Code you provided. Once finished, it took me back to the dashboard page of the alternative MS account used. Look forwards to your confirmation of the merge. Have a lovely weekend.

  1. Use Internet Explorer (version 9 or above) or Edge.

  2. Clear all cookies and cache.

  4. Use the InPrivate option in Internet Explorer or Edge.
