I am trying to register for an exam through the Pearson VUE platform and have a valid 50% discount voucher. However, when I proceed to the payment gateway, the voucher is not being applied and the full amount is still being shown.

Typically, if the voucher is not being redeemed, it is caused by either the voucher being expired, or it has been already redeemed before.
Meanwhile, if in any case you are having an issue with redeeming your voucher, please note that each of them is subject to specific terms and conditions, and typically they cannot be extended or replaced under any circumstances. The potential for to find out the issue is determined by your voucher code provider. Therefore, it is usually advised to contact your voucher issuer directly to inquire about the possibility of honoring your request.
On the other hand, if you're using a company-sponsored voucher and are currently enrolled as an ESI Learner (under the Enterprise Skills Initiative), please reach out to the ESI Support Team. They handle all exam-related concerns for active ESI participants. You’ll find their contact details in the private message.
