General | Other | Unfair Microsoft Certification Exam Ban – Need Guidance & Support

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to share my experience and seek guidance regarding an issue I’ve faced with Microsoft certification exams.

Recently, my Microsoft account was banned for 2 years from taking any certification exams. The reason cited was the alleged use of a “proxy tester” during my proctored exam. However, I can confidently say that I did not violate any exam rules. I took the test myself, followed all the guidelines, and even prepared for months. The only reason i come to know was that my photo on govt. ID card(pen card) was very old and not matching with my current photo.

It seems to have been a misunderstanding by the proctor, but despite my multiple appeals and emails to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, I have not received any positive resolution or proper clarification ans they have closed this matter and now not responding.

This situation is very disheartening and is affecting my career progression, especially as certifications are critical in the tech field today.

I’m posting here to:

1. Ask if anyone else has faced something similar and how you resolved it.

2. Request advice on how to escalate this issue further.

3. Hope that someone from the Microsoft Certification Team notices this and helps me get this reviewed fairly.

My goal is not to blame anyone, but to seek justice and clarity for something I did not do.

Any help, guidance, or support is deeply appreciated.

Thank you 🙏

Additionally, I want to remind you that, in accordance with our Exam and assessment security policies, candidates have the right to appeal within 14 calendar days of receiving a notice. We understand this process can feel overwhelming, and our goal is to ensure everyone’s concerns are heard and fairly considered.
