Dear Support Team,


I hope this message finds you well. I recently attempted the SC200 certification exam, but unfortunately did not pass on my first try. I am committed to improving and would very much like to retake the exam.


However, I am currently facing some financial difficulties and am unable to afford the retake fee at this time. I’m reaching out to kindly ask if there are any options available, such as a discounted or complimentary retake voucher, that would allow me to continue my learning journey and attempt the exam again.


I am truly passionate about advancing my skills and would deeply appreciate any support or guidance you can offer.

I appreciate your reaching out to us for further clarification regarding our retake policy and available discounts for the SC-200 exam. We truly understand how challenging it can be to face financial constraints. Please be assured that I will provide you with the necessary details regarding our retake policy.


According to our Exam Retake Policy, any retake is considered as a new registration, and therefore, a regular fee will be required. Unless, you purchase an Exam Replay Offer prior to taking the exam, you will have (1) One Microsoft Certified Professional Certification exam voucher and (1) one retake of that same exam for free. 

On the other hand, you may want to take advantage another offer that we currently have for SC-200 exam as stated below:

  • For employees or ESI learners, please verify with your company if they are Microsoft affiliated as you can apply a voucher-less discount in selected exams. This will enable you to get 50% discount. Additionally, you can refer to the Enterprise Skills Initiative for more information regarding exams eligible for the ESI discount.

  •  Verified students are eligible for the Academic Discount, which offers reduced pricing on Microsoft Certification exams in most countries/regions. This allows you to receive 30% off for fundamental exams and 45% off for role-based exams. However, please note that if you reside in China or India, the current student discounts are only applicable to fundamental exams.

  • Lastly, we have the Microsoft Events Catalog and Microsoft Learn Blog for upcoming events and training that may offer vouchers.
