How do I update new certification expire date on Credly?

Hello Everyone,

I completed my renewal assignment last week and was told it should take roughly 48 hours for my certifications/badge to update with the new expiration date to be updated. However, it's been over 48 hours but still it hasn't been updated. Does anyone else have this happen before? If so, can someone suggest how they fixed this issue?

Thanks!

Hi hpat06!

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft’s Community.

As we understand, you successfully renewed your Certification, however, the expiration date on Credly has not been updated yet. We will be happy to assist you with your inquiry.

We invite you to follow the troubleshooting steps below to rule out system related issues before verifying the account on our end:

  • Make sure to use an up-to-date browser. (e.g., Edge)

  • Clear cache and cookies (Steps here). Make sure you check Preserve Favorites, website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies; then click Delete.

  • On the Delete Browsing History window, make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites, website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies; then click Delete.

  • Allow all third-party cookies through the browser settings.

  • Please make sure that you have the latest version of the Edge browser or Internet explorer.

  • Go to Digital Credentials (credly.com) and check if the Expiration date has been updated.

Additionally, we have started a Private Message where we will request additional details regarding your account to complete an evaluation process. You can access this private message on the top right corner of this page, as shown in the image below:

Hello again hpat06!

After reviewing the information provided in the last Private Message, we invite you to provide us with a PSR (Problem Steps Recorder), so we can evidence the situation.

Problem Steps Recorder (PSR) is a feature to automatically capture steps on a computer. These steps include a picture of the screen during each selection and a text description of the selected areas. You can use the tool to save performed actions, such as repro steps, which can be provided to this support in order to troubleshoot or diagnose an issue.

Please, take the next steps on your computer to reproduce the problem. You can pause the recording at any time and resume it later.

  1. Select Start Record.

  2. Make sure to use an up-to-date browser. (e.g., Edge)

  3. Clear cache and cookies (Steps here). Make sure you check Preserve Favorites, website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies; then click Delete.

  4. On the Delete Browsing History window, make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites, website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies; then click Delete.

  5. Allow all third-party cookies through the browser settings.

  6. Make sure that you have the latest version of the Edge browser or Internet explorer.

  7. Open your Microsoft Edge Browser and begin a Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing session by pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + N.

  8. Go to Your Dashboard.

  9. Login into your Microsoft’s Certification Profile and visualize the expiration date of your Certification. (The email used at the moment to Login should be visible in the PSR).

  10. Go to Credly acclaim and visualize the incorrect expiration date of your Badge.

  11. Select Stop Record.

  12. In the Save As dialog box, type a name for the file, and then select Save.

You will be able to use the PSR following the link specified for your operating system:

Remember to send the record in .zip format viaPrivate Messages - Microsoft Community

Let us know if more assistance is needed, if we do not receive any response the case will be closed after two business days.

We will be happy to help you.
