Hi Alan,

The issuance of Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certificates, after passing your first qualifying exam, has been discontinued since February 2019. To keep up with the emerging technologies, Microsoft have now shifted to issuing certificates after passing all exam prerequisites for a specific certification.

Having said that, a certificate will be provided once you have completed all the certification/related exam requirements.

For us to check on your certification eligibility, please respond to the private message I have initiated for you. This includes a request for at least three (3) pieces of account information for us to locate and verify your profile.

Exam 70-480: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 is one of the prerequisite exams needed obtain the MCSA: Web Applications certification, along with Exam 70-486: Developing ASP.NET MVC Web Applications (as shown in the image below).

Please note that after passing all prerequisite exams, your new certification status will be recognized by the system within 24 – 48 hours.

In these circumstances, since the certificate feature is not available, your exam badge, transcript, or your exam score report can either be used as an official documentation or proof of that you have passed your exam/s.

Once we have received your information, we will review your profile thoroughly and provide you with a feedback to answer your concern.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response has been received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages. Thank you.

Hi Alan,

As per design, Microsoft provides certificates per certification, rather than per exam. Each certification may include one or more exams, which you need to complete in order to access and/or download your certificates, not for the individual exams which you passed.

Note that to obtain the MCSA: Web Applications certification, you need to fulfill the following certification requirements as shown in the image below:

Since you have successfully passed Exam 70-480, you only need to complete Exam 70-486: Developing ASP.NET MVC Web Applications to acquire the aforementioned certificate. Only then will you be able to access and/or download the certification from your certification dashboard.

After passing all the prerequisite exams, your new certification status will be recognized by the system within 24 – 48 hours.

In these circumstances, since the certificate feature is not available, your exam badge, transcript, or your exam score report can either be used as an official documentation or proof of that you have passed your exam/s.

On the other hand, as regards to the error encountered when you send your transcript via email, note that our Support and Engineering Teams are aware of the email transcript issue and are still currently investigating and working on a resolution.

In the meantime, the only option is to download your transcript through your dashboard. For your reference, I have resent a copy of your transcript through private message and email.

If this solves your problem, please indicate “Yes” to the question and the thread will automatically be closed and locked. In case we do not receive a response, the thread will be closed and locked after one business day. Please be advised that after the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages. If the resolution provided did not resolve the issue, please post a new question.

All the best,
