How to obtain Access Code - 2002 MCP ID

Hello - I've received my MCSE and MCDBA back in 2002 - and am trying to obtain my Microsoft Transcript ID and Access Code in order to submit the certification for review...When trying to log into Migration (microsoft.com) - I do not know my access code, however, i do have my MCP ID as it's printed on my card (credit card type card given to me at time of certification). How can i obtain my access code? Thanks!

Hello, Wyatt.

Thank you for the information you kindly provided over direct communication, it is well appreciated.

We have reviewed your details, and we were able to locate your profile. However, it needs to be migrated. This process will help us activate your account and then, you should be able to access your achievements.

Please follow these instructions to start the Migration process and let us know if after the steps are completed, Your Dashboard's information is accurate and if your MS Learning achievements are shown on it:

1. Start a Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing session (pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + N once the browser is open).

2. Copy and paste this link into the private window’s address bar https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/home/migrate.

3.   Access with your personal email account

4. If you are shown an error message, please select the option “MCP Home” which will direct you to Your Dashboard, after that you can copy and paste the same link on step 2 in the same search bar.

5. After you have followed the previous link, it will open a new window to Your Dashboard, as shown in the image below.

6. While being on Your Dashboard page, please delete the URL and paste this one: https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/home/migrate

7. After pasting the URL and clicking on enter, you will see this website, please fill in the fields MC ID and Access code.

8. Fill in the fields with the following information:

  • MCID:

  • Access Code:

To protect personal information, these credentials are provided via Private Message.

If this solves your problem, please indicate “Yes” to the question and the thread will automatically be closed and locked. In case we do not receive a response, it will be closed and concluded after one business day.

Wishing you an amazing weekend,

Hello, Wyatt.

We hope this message finds you well.

To continue working on your case, we need you to provide us with a PSR (Problem Steps Recorder)  where we can evidence the situation you are facing (make sure we can see the email account you are using to access your profile).

Please include these steps:

1.      Clear your browser’s cached data and cookies.

2.      Use InPrivate browsing with Microsoft Edge.

Keep in mind the PSR tool is set to a limit of 25 screenshots as a default, if you need a higher number of pictures to show the process, please change the number to at least 100 screenshots in the tool’s settings. Also remember to make an extra click to have the last picture.

You will be able to use the PSR following the link specified for your operating system:

· Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/22878/windows-10-record-steps

· Mac: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208721

Please share with us the ZIP file generated by the PSR tool through Private Messages.

We will be very attentive to your response. In case we do not receive a response, the thread will be closed and locked after two business days.

Best regards,

Xilena Navarro.
