how to share an "Online Verifiable" certification

I have a couple of certifications in learn.microsoft.com, but I am unable to download any certificate, or share any of them.

They appear to be "Online Verifiable" only, but is there any way to share them in linkedIn, for instance?

Based on your inquiry, we understand that you want to check the steps to share and download your certificates. We are happy to help you!

We understand how important it is to share your certificates and download them. Due to the recent changes in the platform and the new sharing services, all verified credentials will have an Online Verifiable tag now that you receive a certification. You can share your credentials with your Learn profile in either public or private view. However, to ensure your shared credentials can be verified, your Learn profile must be in public view.

What is shared from your Learn Profile is the certification itself. We will provide the steps of this new experience so you can share your Certificate to the available social media platforms. Kindly follow the next steps to share your certificate:

  1. Sign into your Learn profile.

  2. Click on the photo avatar and select Profile from the dropdown menu.

  3. Select Certifications from the menu inside your profile.

  4. If you want others to be able to verify your shared certification, set your Learn profile view to public

  5. Scroll to the certification that you’d like to access and select “View certification details” below the description.

  6. Under the certification title, there are three options: “Print”, “Edit display name” and “Share.

  7. If you’d like to share your certification, select “Share.” Select the location to which you want to share your certification.

Also, to download your certificates, please follow the next steps:

  1. Once signed in, go to “Credentials” page. You may refer to the image below:

  3. Select Print and choose Save to PDF or print from the Printer dropdown menu. You can then attach the downloaded PDF to an email, print, or save it for your records.

Hi Tatiana,

Unfortunately, in Profile --> Credentials --> Certifications, although both certifications are showed as Active and "Online Verifiable", when I click on any of them, a banner with a message "Renew your certificate" appears. No links to my certificate whatsoever, only links to learning material and for scheduling the exam.

We understand how important it is to share your certificates properly. We are going to check your account and your issue.

Kindly follow the next steps to share your certificate:

  1. Sign into your Learn profile.

  2. Click on the photo avatar and select Profile from the dropdown menu.

  3. Select Certifications from the menu inside your profile.

  4. If you want others to be able to verify your shared certification, set your Learn profile view to public

  5. Scroll to the certification that you’d like to access and select “View certification details” below the description.

  6. Under the certification title, there are three options: “Print”, “Edit display name” and “Share.

  7. If you’d like to share your certification, select “Share.” Select the location to which you want to share your certification.

 

If the issue persists after the steps and the share option is not available, we need you to please share with us a PSR (Problems Steps Recorder) recording, showing that the share option is not available following the previous steps, as well as the email address you are using to sign in.

Please bear in mind that the following steps must also be included in the recording:

 

  1. Use Internet Explorer (version 9 or above) or Edge.

  2. Clear all cookies and cache.

  3. Allow all third-party cookies.

  4. Use the InPrivate option in Internet Explorer or Edge.

You can use PSR (Problems Steps Recorder) tool by following the steps below:

 

 

After using the PSR tool to go through the troubleshooting steps, please provide us with the recording through the Private Message we have started asking for more information. Please remember not to share any of your personal information outside of the Private Message.

To use the Private Message feature, please look at the right side of the page and click the icon seen in the image below:

Thank you for the information you kindly provide.

After reviewing the account, we have confirmed that the two certificates in the account are available to be shared, since you have issues we invite you to provide us with a PSR (Problem Steps Recorder), so we can evidence the situation. Please try the following steps first:

  • Sign into your Learn profile.

  • Click on the photo avatar and select Profile from the dropdown menu.

  • In the profile menu, select Transcript. Your transcript displays all successfully completed certifications and modules.

  • Select “Share link” to generate an online link to your transcript you can share with potential employers. Save, share, or email a copy of your transcript, from the Print link. (Choose “Save to PDF” or print from the Printer drop-down menu. You can then attach the downloaded PDF to an email, print, or save it for your records.)

To stop the Transcript sharing, just generate another link.

If the issue persists after following the previous steps, please, perform the next steps on your computer to reproduce the problem. You can pause the recording at any time and resume it later.

 

  1. Select Start Record.

  2. Make sure to use an up-to-date browser. (e.g. Edge) 

  1. Clear cache and cookies (Steps here). Make sure you check Preserve Favorites, website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies; then click Delete. 

  2. On the Delete Browsing History window, make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites, website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies; then click Delete.

  3. Allow all third-party cookies through the browser settings. 

  4. Make sure that you have the latest version of the Edge browser or Internet explorer. 

  5. Open your Microsoft Edge Browser and begin a Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing session by pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift.

  6. Go to Your Dashboard

  7. Log into your Microsoft’s Certification Profile and try the steps provided above or you can follow the steps: Sharing and validating of Microsoft Credentials | Microsoft Learn and show the error or issue you have. (The email used at the moment to Login should be visible in the PSR)

  8. Select Stop Record.

  9. In the Save As dialog box, type a name for the file, and then select Save.

 

You will be able to use the PSR following the link specified for your operating system:

 

Notes:

 

  • The file should be sent in Private Message as .zip format.

  • The tool only collects the last 25 screen shots. If you see the following in your capture, refer to the “To adjust settings” in the section below to increase this value if you need to capture longer than 25 screen shots.

  • These instructions apply to Windows 7 and later versions.

  • Recorded steps don't capture anything that's typed during the recording. If customer input is important to re-create the issue, you can use the comment feature that's described later in this article to record these kinds of details.

 

Remember to send the record in .zip format via: Private Message. Let us know if more assistance is needed, if we do not receive any response the case will be closed after two business days.
