I am unable to update my telephone number

Hello,

I am unable to save data after I edit my profile. I need to change my phone number.

The save operation fails with the following error message:
50040: Sorry, we are having a service interruption and we are unable to complete your transaction. Please contact customer support.

Using Edge doesn't help much. The error message is the same :/

As we understand you are facing issues when trying to update your Microsoft Certification profile. We are glad to assist you with this matter.

We want to let you know that we are fully aware of this situation and our engineering team is working to find a resolution as soon as possible.

For the time being, we suggest you to consider the following recommendations and try it one more time.

  • Make sure to use an up-to-date browser.

  • Clear cache and cookies.

  • Make sure you check Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.  

  • On the Delete Browsing History window, make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.  

  • Allow all third party cookies through the browser settings.

  • Please make sure that you have the latest version of the Edge browser or Internet explorer.

 

If the issue persists, we have initiated a Private Message where you will be able to share us in a safe way some useful information to verify your MS profile and proceed accordingly.

Please find the access to this space on the top right corner of this screen as shown in the image below:

We will be very attentive to your response. If no response is received, we will proceed in closing the case within two business day.
