I have a MTA certificate but I forgot which account was used to get the certificate

Hello,

I have a certification in MTA and was going for certification Exam AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure and I would prefer to have same mail ID for both the certifications.

Can you please suggest what can I do to recover my account. I did MTA certification in March 2019.

***Moved from Certification Profile / MCID Assistance

Hello tanaydpatel,

Let me help you recover your access to your MTA certification.

To get started, please provide the requested information in the private message I initiated so we can locate and verify your account.

Click the image below to open private message.

If you haven’t access your Microsoft Certification profile for more than 12 months, it will be temporarily deactivated. I will  generate an Access code for you to regain access to your account.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received within two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages..

Thank you,

Hello tanaydpatel,

Appreciate the details you have provided via private message.

After checking, I found out that the duplicate profile was created due to a different email address used when you registered your exam.

With this I would like to confirm which account would you like to keep?

In order for us to merge the two accounts, both profiles should be linked to a Microsoft Account. Therefore you need to associate the other MCID to a different email address.

To link Microsoft Account to the other MCID, please follow the steps provided below:

  1. Open an InPrivate/Incognito browser then go to https://mcp.microsoft.com/home/migrate

  2. Sign in with a new Microsoft account and password that you would like to associate with your profile.

Note: You may create one here

  1. If you receive an Internal Error, just click “MCP Home”.

  2. You will be then routed to Dashboard home. From here, please copy and paste the link on the same window and it should automatically ask for MCID and Access Code.

  3. Enter the Access Code along with the MC ID (please see private message)

Let me know once the profile has been migrated so I can proceed in merging them.

Please keep in mind that we cannot process merge if you an any pending scheduled exams as this may cause issue during your exam day.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received within two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages.

Hello tanaydpatel,

Thank you for following the recommended steps.

You have mentioned in the private message that you have an exam voucher associated with your preferred Microsoft account.

With this, if you have a pending scheduled exam under this account, we cannot process merge as this may cause issue during your exam day.

It would be best for you to take the exam first then once it’s posted we can proceed with the consolidation.

Let us know how would you like to go from here.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received within two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages.
