i want to renew my AZ-305 Certification, but it's not showing an option.

You renew certifications not exams. We need to see the details of your certification from Microsoft Learn https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/credentials?tab=credentials-tab or from your transcript

But assuming that you took the exam on July 2nd, 2024, and earned the certification on the same day, then your expiry date is July 2nd, 2025

Certification renewal opens 180 days before the expiry date so that would be on January 3rd, 2025.

As we understand, you are unable to renew your AZ-305 certification. We will be happy to assist you with your inquiry.

Please keep in mind that the Exam AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions is part of the requirements to be certified as a: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. The Exam itself will not generate a Certificate.

To earn this certification, candidates must complete the following certification requirements:

• Earn the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification (AZ-104).

• Pass Exam AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions.

Since you have already passed exam AZ-305, but your prerequisite Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate is currently expired, you will need to approve exam AZ-104 to receive the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification. Once you complete this path, you will receive the so expected cert and will be able to renew it.

Important: To achieve any expert certification, all prerequisites must be active.
