Hello, I'm preparing for the Azure DP-203 exam and I'm curious about whether it's an open book exam. If it is, could you please provide details about the additional resources I'll have access to? I'm asking because on the official exam page (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/azure-data-engineer/?practice-assessment-type=certification), it mentions that "This exam will be proctored, and is not open book." Thank you.

Hi Moustapha,
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community.
I understand the importance of knowing the features as you prepare for the DP-203 exam. I appreciate your dedication and effort to seeking clarification about the exam. Let me provide you with further information regarding this matter.
The policy is correct; our exams are NOT open book. However, candidates can access Microsoft Learn on role-based exams. This feature is not available on fundamental exams."
Since DP-203 falls under the role-based exams. You will have access to everything in the learn.microsoft.com domain except Q&A and your profile, and this will be available in the same language in which the exam is also available. Please also note that when you access this resource, extra time would not be added, the timer will continue as you explore the Microsoft Learn content.
In addition, this will open Microsoft Learn on a split screen to the right of the exam question. You can then navigate through the website as you normally would and expand it to full screen if you prefer.
For your reference you may visit Exam duration and exam experience | Microsoft Learn.
Moreover, you can also check this article Introducing a new resource for all role-based Microsoft Certification exams for your reference and to see the full demonstration of these features, please visit Microsoft new exam resource video.
I hope this helps and please let me know if further assistance is needed.
