Is the "MCSD App Builder" certification retired/going to retire ?

Hello,

I wish to get an MCSA-Web Applications certification followed by a MCSD-App Builder certification.

However, the "Retired certifications" page on the Microsoft Website names the ¨Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer" as a retired certification (at the bottom of the page)

I will be giving the exams about 6 months later (I am still preparing for it)

Is the MCSD certification retired? Will I be able to give the exams 6 months later ?

Thanks,
Akshay

Answer

Hi Akshay,

Thank you for reaching us about this matter.

In order to keep the Microsoft Certified Professional program current, Microsoft Learning continually monitors trends and then revises exams and certification requirements to keep pace with technology changes. Our goal is to provide you with several months’ notice of upcoming exam and certification retirements.

To give clarification with this case, having check the Learning site I found that the MCSD: App Builder is still current. This only means that the said certification is not yet retired. However, we haven’t received any updates from Microsoft on when will be the exact retirement date of the App Builder certification. In this case, I highly recommend take the exam within the year or check the learning websites for any future updates.
