MB600 ==> becomes PL600

My goal is to become “Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert” prerequisite  are PL200 + PL600 OR PL400 + PL600

Since PL600 was not available in the beginning of March I took the MB600. Mainly because PL600 is the successor of MB600.

Secondly if I look at the skills measured from MB600 and PL600 they are exactly the same.

In my opinion it would be logic if PL200 + MB600 should lead to “Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert”

If the “system” does not support this logic I will gladly take the PL600 (beta) exam. I guess the exam will be the same on many topics as the MB600 exam (as the skills measured are the same) .   In this case it would be ‘nice’ if the MB600 exam I took at the 1ste of march would make me eligible for a MS voucher for the PL600 exam.

Do you agree.

Thanks for your time. Have a great day.

Hi, Wouter.

Thanks for getting in touch with Microsoft’s Forum Center

We understand you are missing a certificate in your account.

Please know that the Exam MB-600: Microsoft Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect does not give a Certificate, but you can get a badge. For you to get a Certificate there is path you can take which require the completion of one of the below prerequisites:

Also just doing on of this two will also work for you to be awarded the Certification.

The Certificate you will achieve is the Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.

We will be attentive on your response, in case you have further questions. However, if this solves your problem, please indicate “Yes” to the question and the thread will automatically be closed and locked. In case we do not receive a response, the thread will be closed and locked within the next business day.

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply.

Just to be sure, my goal is to become a "Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect" not a "Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect"

So PL200 + PL600 would be the way to go.

Since the pl600 exam was not available at the beginning of march 2021 I took the mb600 exam.

If I look at the skills measured from MB600 and PL600 they are exactly the same.

In my opinion it would be logic if PL200 + MB600 should lead to “Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert”

please let me know if something is not clear.

Kind regards,

Wouter

Also just doing one of this two will also work for you to be awarded the Certification.

Doing just PL-200 or PL-400 you will get the Certificate which is the Expert.

This one is only the name of the exam you have passed Microsoft Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect not a Certificate.

Thanks David,

That's greay news since I've passed the pl200 on the 15th of March this year.

So if I understand correctly this should lead to the expert badge.
