MCSD: App Builder - Confusing requirements

Hi,

I just passed the exams necessary to get the certification: MCSA: Web Applications.

Now I want to go for the MCSD: App Builder.

But I have found 2 different requirements, and is confused.

On the "normal" overview page, I can find the following requirements:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/mcsd-app-builder-certification.aspx

When I go to my Dashboard, and browse the MCSD: App Builder the requirements is:

One of my friends took the exams the same day as me, and actually recieved the MCSD: App Builder.

So I am also confused as to why I have not recieved it.

I hope someone can clarify the requirements :)

Hi MadsGosvig,

To clarify the path in obtaining the MCSD: App Builder certification, please note that a single exam cannot satisfy for 2 different certifications.

Since you completed the MCSA requirement which is MCSA: Web Applications certificate, you need to pass one (1) elective exam from the electives you sent on the screenshot which you haven’t took to complete your MCSA certification.

If you earned the MCSA: Web Applications by passing 70-480 and 70-486, you may take 70-483 as an elective or vice versa (70-483 and 70-486 and elective of 70-480). You may also choose a different exam from the elective pool list.

After passing the last exam required for any certification your transcript will be updated. It may take up to 24 - 48 hours for the system to recognize your new certification status.

If this solves your problem, please indicate “Yes” to the question below, so that other learners can benefit, and please take our short survey to let us know if your support experience has been great or how we can improve.

Please confirm by selecting “Yes” within 48 hours, otherwise the thread will be automatically closed.

Regards,
