Microsoft 365 MDAA Certification

I have passed the MD-101 and have previously taken and passed the 70-697 and 70-698 examinations for the 'old style' courses.  However my certification has not been updated (transcript etc) and the Certification Planner suggests that I still need to take the MD-100 to qualify.

I was under the impression that the 698 and MD-101 was what is required for the new MDAA qualification?  Has this changed and if so why?  It would seem annoying that I would need to sit the MD-100 simply to get a tick in the box (and have to pay for the pleasure!)

Can someone please clarify the situation as I am a little confused and don't really want to sit and exam just for the sake of it.

Many thanks

Hello Phil Chapman,

Congratulations for passing the exam MD-101.

Actually, you are correct that once you have successfully passed the exams 70-698 and MD-101 you should be able to obtain a Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate. The certification requirements remains the same.

To avoid confusions, I highly recommend to visit the Learning Site especially the Microsoft certification to be more updated about the certification requirements.

Since the certification is not yet reflecting in you account, below might be the possible reasons:

1.    A system compatibility issue has occurred.

2.    It is less than 24 – 48 hours from passing the last required exam.

3.    A duplicate account was created.

To further investigate this concern, I have initiated a private message to locate and verify your MCP profile.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Hi Phil,

Thank you for trusting us with the given information.

Having checked your MCP profile, I wasn’t able to locate the exam 70-698. This is the reason why Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate is not reflecting in your MCP account and transcript.

Taking from your initial post you have told us that you completed the said exam. To verify this matter, please forward us a scanned copy of your score report.

To obtain this benefit, kindly follow the steps:

1. Sign in to the MCP Member Site at https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp using your Microsoft account and password.

2. Select on "View your score report" under “Additional resources”.

3. On the Pearson VUE site, click on “VIEW Score Report”.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,
