As per Exam Policy and FAQs, The number of questions on an exam is subject to change as we update it over time to keep current changes in the technology and job role. Most Microsoft Certification exams contain between 40-60 questions; however, the number can vary depending on the exam.

Exam time varies based on the type of exam you will take. For AZ-900 which is a Job role fundamentals exams, the exam time will be 60 minutes and the seat time is 90 minutes. For Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, which is an Associate and expert job role exams, exam time is 150 minutes and the seat time is 180 minutes. For Associate and expert job role exams that contain labs, 180 minutes for the Exam time and 210 minutes for seat time.

Note Exam time refers to the amount of time that you have to complete the exam. Seat time refers to the amount of time that you should allocate for the exam. It includes the time needed to review the instructions, read and accept the NDA, complete the exam questions, and provide comments after completing it (if you choose to do so).
