Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Status

I earned my "Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-303/AZ-304)" on **removed**. Shortly after I earned my "Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)" on **removed**. Recently I started the process to update both certifications. On *removed* I successfully completed the certification renewal for my AZ-104. The same day I took my "Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (AZ-305)" which I thought combined with my AZ-104 that was renewed would give me the latest "Azure Solutions Architect Expert". Since I renewed my AZ-104 and passed my AZ-305 what exam am I supposed to take now to get the latest "Azure Solutions Architect Expert"?

I have asked this question 2 other times. The first I let the response time expire and the second I got an answer on why I was credited with my certification, which was due to me not doing the Renewal. My question is based on my current status of having a current AZ-104 that was renewed and a AZ-305 that I took on **removed**., do I need to retake the AZ-104 to get my "Azure Solutions Architect Expert"?

Hello Elliottf,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft's Community.

As we understand, you want to know if you need to renew both exams AZ-305 & AZ-104

Following your question, yes, if you let the exam AZ-104 expire, you will need to retake the Exam AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator, to obtain correctly the Certification for Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Keeping in mind that Certifications expire after one year to ensure that tech professionals keep skills up to date with evolving technology. For further information visit our Certification expiration policy.

Please let us know if you have any other questions, or if the assistance given solved your request, please indicate Yes to the question shown below and we will proceed with the closure of this thread. I want to be clear. Not sure if your understanding me. I didn't let my AZ-104 expire. I renewed with the Assessment the morning prior to me actually taking the AZ-305. I did not renew my AZ-303/AZ-304. So my question is even though I renewed my AZ-104 and I took the AZ-305 exam and passed, what else do I need to do to get Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Do I need to retake the AZ-104 even though I renewed it with the Assessment.
