Missing Free Certification - Ignite The Tour DC 2/2020

Hello;

I attended the Ignite The Tour at the DC convention Center back in Feb 2020.

On 2/7/2020 I received a verification email and a link to a free exam for 180 days
Since then Microsoft has extended the free exam until 2021, as outlined on the website at:

Today I tried to schedule an AZ-900 exam and logged in with my normal user and tried to link my work email to my regular Outlook account, as per the screenshots. The website said that there were no exam discounts for either of my email accounts. I would just like to take the exam for free and promised.

How can I get this resolved?

Thank you for posting your query.

Learners who faced similar issue were able to redeem their free exam after following the below troubleshooting steps. Hence, we request you to try the below steps multiple times until you succeed:

  1. Sign-out from the browser, clear cache, delete cookies, use an "InPrivate/Incognito" browser session
  2. Click on Schedule with Pearson VUE
  3. Sign in to Certification Dashboard using the personnel email account. If you do not have account, follow the steps to create one (Use personnel email and not the work email to create the certification profile).
  4. Save the Profile and continue
  5. Check your eligibility by entering the email account you used to register for the event. Please click on the 'Check Eligibility' tab 3-4 times to double check.
  6. Click Schedule exam
  7. Select How do you want to take your exam ( Local test center , home/office)
  8. Select exam date and time and Proceed to Checkout
