MS-720 to MS-721

Hi,

MS-720 exam will not grant you the Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate certification. You needed to obtain the voice engineer expert certification before it retired.

As we understand from your post, you have passed Exam MS-720: Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer, but you have not received the new certification Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate MS-721). We are happy to help you.

On July 1, 2023, the Teams Voice Engineer Expert certification was replaced with Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate.

As stated in the Certification page, On May 31, 2023, the Teams Voice Engineer Expert certification was replaced by Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate. Both names will appear in your transcript. Read the blog post.

However, if you only achieved exam MS-720, you did not complete the previous certification path which means that you would need to pass the newer MS-721 to receive the Certificate.

With this information said, the previous learning path needed to be completed to automatically receive the new certification, you needed to achieve the S-720 and One Certification:

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (Required passing MS-700 Exam)

If you have completed before the retirement the full learn path of Teams Voice Engineer Expert certification and your certificate has not been updated to Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate, please let us know and we will open a Private Message to provide you with our best solution.
