Hi, Shelby.

Thank you for sharing the information requested through Private Message.

Before we Merge your Certification Profiles together, we must Migrate the Profile with your Certificates to a new Microsoft account, as it is not associated with one, and we cannot Merge a Profile in this state.

To proceed with the Migration, please follow the steps below:

1. Open your Microsoft Edge Browser and begin a Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing session by pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + N.

2. Copy and paste this link into the private window’s address bar: https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/home/migrate

3. Access using a new Microsoft account. Since the Microsoft account used here must NOT be associated with a Certification Profile, it must NOT be the one that you have shared with us.

4. If you are shown an error message, please select the option “MCP Home,” which will direct you to Your Dashboard. You can then copy and paste the same link from Step 2 into the search bar.

5. After you have selected the option “MCP Home,” it will open a new window to Your Dashboard, as shown in the image below.

6. Once Your Dashboard page opens, please delete the URL, and paste this one:

7. After pasting the URL and pressing enter, you will see this website. Please fill in the blank fields with the MCID and Access Code that we shared with you through Private Message.

Once you finish this process, please let us know if you can see your Certificates by signing into your Dashboard and selecting "View certificates" on the carousel. As soon as we receive your response, we will proceed and Merge your Certification Profiles together.

Please note that, per design, only the Certifications that are part of the MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) program will be displayed on your Dashboard.

For assistance in retrieving your CompTIA Certifications, we invite you to contact the CompTIA support team by visiting: Contact Us | CompTIA.

We are looking forward to your response. If we do not receive a response, the case will be closed and locked after two business days.

Hi, Shelby.

Thank you for letting us know.

When we attempted to Merge your Certification Profiles, the operation failed due to an error, as the MCID that would have disappeared is connected to an active Microsoft Learn Profile.

To proceed with your request, we have three options:

  1. To switch the MCID that would remain, you would keep the secondary one.

  2. To leave the Profiles unmerged.

  3. To delete the Learn Profile associated with the undesired Certification Profile.

If you choose option three, please follow the steps below:

  1. Please visit Microsoft Learn.

  2. Sign in with the Microsoft account of the Profile that you want to delete.

  3. Click on your user icon at the top-right corner of the screen and select "Settings."

  4. Scroll down and select the option "Delete profile."

Please let us know if these steps worked for you. If you choose a different option, please let us know by responding to this post, or through Private Message.

We are looking forward to your response. If we do not receive a response, the case will be closed and locked after two business days.

Hi Javier,

I have deleted the new active profile and will PM you confirming the details of which MCID should be the active profile going forward. This is the profile that shows the MCSE certifications now. This will be merged with the old original MCID?

Thank you,

Shelby
