Name Change Approved: I need to change my legal name immediately

'MY name is Showing as '***removed***', but my correct legal name is '***removed***'. I need it corrected before my Microsoft Power BI Certification exam scheduled in June 2025. Please take action immediately.

Please note that the private message can only be accessed using the email address associated with your original post. I noticed that the profile you used to reply in the thread differs from the one used in your initial request.

That said, I can confirm you've accessed the private message correctly, as I’ve received some of the requested information. To help me locate your profile and make the necessary changes, kindly send your Learn Username via private message as well.

The username can be found under Personal info, username, and URL in your settings. You can also see your username in the browser address bar or URL barPlease refer to the image below on how you can get your Learn username; you can also access (lookup username) tool which only displays your username.

I understand the urgency of updating your legal name. However, to locate your profile and proceed with the update, we will need your learn username.

You can retrieve your username using any of the following methods:

  • Go to your Microsoft Learn settings and navigate to the 'Personal Info, Username, and URL' section and copy the username in the textbox.

  • Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar, which includes your username.

  • Use the 'Lookup Usernametool to display your username directly.

Please let us know once you have the information and provide it via private message.

I'm pleased to inform you that I have successfully updated your legal name. You should see the change(s) reflected on your Learn profile in 24 hours. 

Please check the private message I initiated and verify the changes are visible; you may need to wait 24 hours before attempting to register for any exams. If the name format is incorrect, or in case changes were still not reflecting on your profile after 24 hours, please let me know by replying to the private message together with a screenshot. 

To ensure that the updated changes also reflected through Pearson VUE accordingly, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Browse Credentials | Microsoft Learn and select any exam.

  2. Click the schedule button and you may be prompted to sign into/create your Learn Profile. We recommend you login with your personal Microsoft account (MSA).

  3. You will be prompted to fill out some information such as address, phone number, and contact email before you are redirected to Pearson Vue. This information is only collected since Pearson Vue requires it and Microsoft never stores this information.

  4. Click "Submit" to go to Pearson Vue site. After that, you should be transferred to the Pearson VUE page. Please confirm if the name is updated correctly by clicking the small arrow on the left corner as highlighted below.

    NOTE: Do not complete the exam registration, this is only to send the update to Pearson VUE.
