Name Change Approved | Request to correct last name in Certification Profile

Hello, I would like to request a correction to my name in my Microsoft Certification profile. My name currently appears as: ***removed***.

However, my full legal name, as shown on my government-issued ID, is: ***removed***.

In my country, it is customary to use two surnames (last names), and both appear on my official identification document.

My exam is scheduled for Thursday, June 19th, I kindly request that my name be updated accordingly so that it matches my identification and appears correctly on all certificates.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Maria,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community.

I completely understand how important it is for you to be able to update your legal name accurately on your profile. Please be assured that I'm committed to assist you with this.

Upon checking on the name that you have provided, I have found that your name has a special character in it. With this, please be advised that due to the system’s design, we are only able to update names in Roman Alphabets.

Rest assured that Pearson VUE will acknowledge all names with special characters/diacritics on their valid identification and assured every candidate that they should not encounter any issues on the exam day.

You may also contact Pearson VUE’s support for further clarification.

To move forward with your request, I have started a private message thread where you can provide the necessary details. This will allow me to locate and verify your profile completely, so I can review and process your legal name change request accordingly.

You can access our private message by clicking the following link: Private Messages - Microsoft Community

Meanwhile, please note that the maximum allowed character limit for your Legal Name is as follows: 30 characters for the first name and 50 characters each for both the middle name and last name.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

I look forward to your response. Please note that if no response is received after two business days, the case will be closed and locked. After the case is locked, we will no longer be able to respond, even through Private Messages.

Best regards,
