Hello, Sharada M1

We appreciate your reaching out to Microsoft Community.

Based on your inquiry, we understand that you need to transfer your certifications. We’re pleased to assist you with this issue.

Please be aware that this process is currently automated, and each user must complete it independently through their own profile.

We’ve received your request to merge the Microsoft accounts associated with your Learn profile. However, due to enhanced security measures, this change is only permitted if a work or school account (AAD/Entra) is also linked to one the profiles.

To merge the personal Microsoft account (MSA) associated with your Learn profile, please follow the steps below:

If you have a work or school (AAD) account associated with your Learn profile:

  • Please visit Microsoft Learn.

  • Sign in using your work or school account (AAD),

  • Click on your user icon, located at the upper right corner of the screen. and select "Settings."

  • Under the "Account management" section, click "Add account" and sign in using your desired Microsoft account (MSA), (MCID 2) in this situation, you can add another profile, merge both profiles.

If you do not have a work or school (AAD) account associated with your Learn profile:

  • Please visit Microsoft Learn

  • Sign in with your current personal Microsoft account (MSA).

  • Click on your user icon, located at the upper right corner of the screen, and select "Settings."

  • Under the "Account management" section, select "Add account."

  • Sign in using your work or school account (AAD) to add it to your Learn profile.

  • Sign out of Microsoft Learn.

  • Sign into Microsoft Learn using your work or school account (AAD).

  • Return to the "Account management" click "Add account" and sign in using another personal Microsoft account (MSA)

You can find a more detailed guide on this matter in these articles:

If you are not part of an organization that can provide you with a work or school account (AAD), you can create one by signing up for a free trial of Microsoft 365, as mentioned in the article: Sign up for Power BI with a new Microsoft 365 trial - Power BI.

We hope that you find this information to be helpful. If you require assistance regarding your Learn Profile, please let us know.

If your concern has been resolved, please let us know by selecting "Yes" where it says, "Did this solve your problem?" located at the lower right corner of this post. This will close the thread.

If we do not receive a response, the case will be closed and locked after one (1) business day.

Kind regards,

Tania Rodríguez
