Need help in retaking PL-300 exam without charge

I signed up to take the PL-300 Exam on January 9,2024. The questions were really extensive and detailed, there was not enough time to be able to complete all questions given the difficulty within that specific time limit. Along with that, in the beginning of the exam I was asked about my experience in Power BI, to which I answered "Expert". I am actually an intermediate and was really surprised to see the difficulty of the questions. I had completed the practice assessments shared on the Microsoft website and the questions on the practice tests were very different from the actual test. Also, I purchased a course on Udemy specifically for the PL-300 exam and felt very prepared to take the exam. I would like to take a retake but the exam fee is very high and I am not able to afford it again. I request to give me a retake without any charge that asks questions like the one on the practice tests. Please help me in this issue, as the exam fees is very expensive to afford again.

I understand that you need assistance in retaking the PL-300 exam. Let me provide information with regards to the exam retake policy and guide you accordingly.

For retaking an exam, you will just need to schedule a new one, this is the same process when you register the exam the first time. You may visit this page Register and schedule an exam for complete guidance in scheduling your exam.

Please note that if you didn't get the required passing score the first time, you must wait 24 hours before taking the exam again, and if still unsuccessful, there is a 14-day waiting period between all subsequent attempts (up to 5). Moreover, if you fail the exam five times, you will be able to repeat it 12 months after your first attempt.

As per our Exam Retake Policy, payment will be applied for any retake since this will be considered as new registration.

If you are an ESI Learner or you have used a discount voucher provided by your company, please reach out to the ESI Support team for immediate assistance. They can also take care of the communication with your exam provider in rescheduling your exam. Thanks for contacting back! previously, I was asking if it possible for Microsoft to allow me to take a retake of the PL-300 exam without any charge? I previously explained the whole scenario, please take that into account and let me know. Along with that, another question I have is why were the questions formatted so differently in the practice tests on Microsoft and the actual test was wayy different. The questions in the exam, were very long and descriptive while the practice tests had smaller and understandable questions.

I want to acknowledge the importance of having a free retake of the exam in your situation. However, it's essential to inform you that, as per the Exam Retake Policy, a payment will be applied for any retake since it is considered a new registration.

Please be advised that even if they are considered as an official practice test, there is no guarantee that candidates will pass the exam using this as their reference.

 

Furthermore, Practice Test only serves as one of the training preparations like the Online Learning Paths and Instructor-Led training and will not credit the actual exam. Note that Microsoft exams are designed to assess your ability to apply skills beyond what was explicitly covered in the learning – meaning your skills will be assessed at a higher level than was taught in the training.

 

According to the Prepare for an exam page, the best way to prepare for an exam is to practice the skills listed in the “Skills measured” section of the exam detail page. Hands-on experience with the technology is required to successfully pass Microsoft Certification exams.

 

You may also find preparation materials such as online/classroom trainings can be found on our exam detail page under ways to prepare. If you are looking for an online training, please click or select online-free.
