Need MCP contact info updated

I asked this previously and was told to wait until July 9th for the support people to have the access to fix the issue. I can't seem to find a number or email for training support. I need to provide some email addresses and MCP number to get updated, but the page here says don't share them here. So can someone who can update MCP contact info please send me a private message so I can send the needed info.

Thanks!

Hi Craig Myers2!

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft’s Community.

As we understand, you need to connect your old certifications/exams to your current Learn profile. We will be happy to assist you with your inquiry.

Please keep in mind that as of today, all Certification profiles have been migrated to Learn and that the Certification Profile program is now retired and no longer exists. This also means that you will no longer receive an MCID (MCID was a unique ID for the Certification Profile). When Certification Profile was retired, MCID also retired. Your unique identifier for your Learn Profile is now your Learn Username.

To create a Microsoft Learn profile, select Sign-In in the top, right corner of any Microsoft Learn page. It will prompt you through the Microsoft account authentication process and then:

  • If the account that you have chosen to sign-in with doesn't already have a Microsoft Learn profile, it will walk you through the Microsoft Learn profile creation experience.

  • If the account you have chosen to sign-in with already has a Microsoft Learn profile, you'll be signed-in to Microsoft Learn. Update your personal information, username, and URL. The display name stored in your Microsoft Learn profile is what appears on your public profile (the profile view that others can see), printable achievements, certificates, and transcript.

These changes were deployed on July 8th, and it also means that you must self-manage these kinds of inquiries on your end, as we are unable to modify your information anymore due to security policies.

In this case, since the previous agent provided the Login details of your previous profile, you will need to make use of that information in order to recover access to your transcript. You may change the MSA associated only if you also have a work or school account to hold its place while it is removed.

Please let us know if you can access your profile. Remember that if no response is received within the next business day, the thread will be closed and locked.

Kind regards,

Sebastian Florez.

I'm not sure if this reply was for me or someone else since it has a different name in it. Yes, I would like to move my mcp transcript to my new ID. But as the page says, we shouldn't put email addresses or other private info here, so can someone private message me about this please?

Hi Craig Myers2!

Hope you are doing well.

We apologize for the name mistake. As for your inquiry, we would like to remind you that the "Login details" previously shared by the other agent, must be the same Login you now use on Learn. If you have a duplicate account, you may need to do the following (Microsoft Learn frequently asked questions (FAQs) | Microsoft Learn):

Can I merge two profiles of mine into one?

Yes! Assume you have profile A and profile B, you're able to merge your completions and achievements of profile B into profile A by clicking "add account" on the profile settings page when signed into Profile A. After you merge accounts, only profile A will exist as both profiles learning history will be combined. The merging logic is as following:

  • Your learning history, certification data, and achievements are merged, with duplicates removed, from profile B into profile A.

  • Your Q&A contributions and activities are merged, with duplicates removed, from profile B into profile A.

  • Your linked accounts are merged from profile B into profile A. Note: if the limit of "up to five school or work accounts and one personal account" is exceeded during the merge process, your merge request will be canceled. If this happens, you'll need to resolve this issue before trying again.

  • Your saved items and joined challenges will be merged, with duplicates removed, from profile B into profile A.

  • Private profile mode will be enabled if any of the two profiles has this setting turned on.

  • All other settings will remain unchanged in profile A and editable on profile settings page anytime.

Have in mind that you cannot merge two Learn profiles that are associated each to a different personal MSA. The following profile merge options can be done by connecting the two accounts in the Account Management section of Learn Settings:

  1. Merge a Learn profile containing a work or school account (AAD/Entra) with a second profile containing a personal email (MSA).

  2. Merge a Learn profile containing a work or school account (AAD/Entra) with a second profile containing a work or school account (MSA).

You may change the MSA associated to a Learn only if they also have a work or school account to hold its place while it is removed (Removal or replacement of an MSA is not allowed when it is the only account associated with a Learn profile).

Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. If the information we shared was helpful, please let us know by choosing “Yes” where it says, “Did this solve your problem?” located in the bottom right corner of the thread. This will let us know if your support experience has been great or how we can improve it.

In case we do not receive a response, the thread will be closed and locked within the next business day.

Have an excellent day,

Sebastian Florez.
