Hi, Purvesh.

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft community.

As we understand from your post, you would like to update your legal name. We are happy to help!

For security purposes, to update your legal name, you must submit a request to our Legal Name Change team.

To submit a request to update your name, please follow the steps below:

  1. Visit Microsoft Learn.

  2. Sign in using the personal Microsoft account (MSA) associated with your Certification Profile.

  3. Click on your user icon, located at the upper right corner of the screen, and select "Settings."

  4. Scroll down to the "Connected certification profile" section.

  5. Click the "Manage certification profile and exam discounts" button.

  6. Click the "Edit profile" button and select the "Request change" link next to your legal name

  7. Provide the name displayed on your government-issued identification.

Keep in mind that only characters that are part of the English alphabet are allowed. In case your name contains a special character, please use the character's English equivalent, or the closest character to it.

This will not cause you any issues when scheduling or presenting your Exams, as all testing centers and Exam providers are aware of this.

For a more detailed guide on this matter, please visit the article: Manage your certification profile | Microsoft Learn.

If your request has been resolved, please let us know by selecting "Yes" where it says, "Did this solve your problem?" located at the lower right corner of this post.

If we do not receive a response, the case will be closed and locked after one business day.
