Prerequisites for Azure Solutions Architect Expert & Power Platform Solution Architect Expert

Hello

I have a confusion around the prerequisites for the below two title:

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  • Power Platform Solution Architect Expert

The MS page for Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-305 shows the prerequisite as: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) for Azure Solutions Architect Expert title while I saw responses here in the support saying that AZ-303 and AZ-304 are prerequisite for the Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, please confirm.

Could you also confirm in PL-400 is the only prerequisite for Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)

Thanks

Hello [noor&&ahmad]!

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft’s Community.

As we understand, you want to know about the prerequisites for the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert Certifications. We will be happy to assist you with your inquiry.

Regarding the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification, please note that on March 31, 2022, the Exam AZ-303 and Exam AZ-304 were retired. These exams have been replaced by the new Exam AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions. In addition to passing the AZ-305 Exam, you must also obtain the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification.

As for the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert Certification, there are two prerequisites: the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) and the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200). You need to obtain just one of these prerequisites, along with passing the main PL-600 Exam, to receive the certification.

We hope that this information helps resolve your request. If so, please let us know by choosing "Yes" where it says, "Did this solve your problem?" located at the lower right corner of this post.

If we do not receive a response, the thread will be closed and locked after one business day.
