Prerequisites for Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

As we understand from your post, you passed Exam AZ-303 prior to its retirement, and you would like to confirm if you would earn the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certificate by completing Exam AZ-305. We are happy to help!

Please note that, when an Exam is replaced or retired, it will still qualify as a valid requirement for any Certification Paths that involved said Exam for up to one year after its retirement.

Prior to the retirement of Exams AZ-303 and AZ-304 on March 31, 2022, the requirements to earn the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certificate were:

• Earn the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Certificate and pass Exam AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions.

  OR

• Pass Exams AZ-303: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies and AZ-304: Microsoft Azure Architect Design.

  OR

• Pass Exams AZ-303: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies and AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions.
  

The requirements to earn this Certification were listed on the Certification page, as shown in the image below.

This means that, by passing Exam AZ-305, all requirements will be met, and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification will be present on your Dashboard within 48 hours.
