Recover lost certification

Hi

I am unable to link my personal account with certificates to my work account.

When I try to sign in to the personal account it tells me this username has been turned-off for sign in

Username for the personal account is the same e-mail as my work account.

How can I recover my certificate?

Answer
Answer

Hi, Miki.

After checking your account, we started the Email change process. This process will help us to show your certificates and associate your account with the email address that you want to associate with.

Please keep in mind that personal email is required when you are accessing the Microsoft Certified Professional platform, and scheduling Certification Exams, not a partner or organization Email address.

Please keep in mind that the Certification Profile must be associated with a personal email account. We highly recommend public domains such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo…This way we can be sure that there will be no problem to connect it to MS Learn and see the certifications: connect one Learn profile to your Certification profile. However, since you mentioned that the email account that you used to complete the migration steps is a personal account, the system might accept it as well.

Follow the steps below to change your Email with this procedure called Migration.

  • Open your Microsoft Edge Browser and begin a Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing session by pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + N.

  • Sign in with the Microsoft Email Account that you want to use in your Microsoft's Certification Profile.

  • If you are shown an error message, please select the option “MCP HOME” which will direct you to Your Dashboard. You can then copy and paste the same link into the search bar on step. IMAGE

After completing these steps, the Migration screen should come up. The website should look like this: IMAGE

It will ask you for these details:

  • MCID:

  • Access Code:

To protect personal information, these credentials are provided via Private Message.

Please let us know if it works, we will be waiting for your confirmation.

Keep in mind that if no response is received, this case will be closed and locked after two business days.
