I have successfully completed the MS-102 exam, which is an examination without conferring a certification since it necessitates a prerequisite exam. As I haven't undertaken any prerequisite exams yet, if I were to complete a prerequisite exam in the forthcoming month, would I be eligible for the Microsoft Expert designation and certification? Alternatively, would I need to retake the MS-102 exam to qualify for the Microsoft Expert certification?

Hello Kesavan!
Thank you for contacting Microsoft's Community.
We understand that you completed the Exam MS-102 but are unable to see the Certificate in the Certificates section of your Dashboard.
Please bear in mind that the Exam MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator is one of the conditions to obtain the Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert Certification as shown in the image below:
Keep in mind that the MS-102 Exam does not issue a Certification by itself.
The available requisites for the Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert certification, are the following for your reference:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
To archive the certificate, you should have the exam MS-102 (as you already do), and any of the last certification. Make sure to fulfill the other requirement, which is obtaining any of the certifications we mentioned earlier. The order does not matter, if you have both prerequisites active, you will be able to achieve the certificate.
