Request to Delete Duplicate Pearson VUE Account

Hi Team,

  • ***removed***

  • A short description of the issue (e.g., duplicate accounts preventing exam registration)

I recently discovered that I have two Pearson VUE accounts, which is causing a conflict when I try to schedule my certification exam. This duplication is preventing me from proceeding with my registration./Trasaction mainly

I kindly request that one of the accounts (***removed***) be deleted, so I can continue with the exam booking without issues.

Please let me know what details you need from me to resolve this further.

Thanks,

Hello SR_191.

Welcome to Microsoft’s Community.

We understand from your entry that you need help Merging two Microsoft Learn Profiles. We will gladly assist.

Please know that due to our strict privacy policies, we are unable to transfer Certificates from one account to another. This policy is in place to ensure the security and privacy of all our users.

If you have access to a work or school email, we can provide you with instructions on how to merge your work and personal emails. This way, you will be able to view the Certificate on your preferred personal profile.

First, allow us to share the following document: Microsoft Learn frequently asked questions (FAQs) | Microsoft Learn

Have in mind that you cannot merge two Learn profiles that are associated each to a different personal MSA. The following profile merge options can be done by connecting the two accounts in the Account Management section of Learn Settings:

  1. Merge a Learn profile containing a work or school account (AAD/Entra) with a second profile containing a personal email (MSA).

  2. Merge a Learn profile containing a work or school account (AAD/Entra) with a second profile containing a work or school account (MSA).

That being said, we are unable to directly assist you with the merge process due to security policies. Instead, we can provide you with a short guide in which you can self-manage this process on your end.

In this case you can add a work/school email to the secondary Profile, then remove that personal address, which will let you Merge to your preferred personal email address.

After Merging the Profiles, you can remove the work account you created for this process with no negative impact to your profile.

To remove and replace your personal account from the secondary Profile, please follow the steps below:

  1. Visit Microsoft Learn.

  2. Log into your school/work account (Profile B)  and add the profile from which you want to transfer your information (profile A). This migrates your certification and training progress from A to B
Wait until the confirmation green banner.

  3. At the same settings page remove (profile A)   (Settings > Account Management > Linked accounts > remove).

  4. Log into your main preferred Learn Profile (Profile C) and add Profile B.
This transfers your certification and training progress from the work Learn Profile to your preferred personal Learn Profile.

  5. If you wish, you can you remove your school/work

Please let us know if these steps worked for you or if you run into any trouble. We will be happy to help.
