I took my Power BI PL300 exam today (Friday, Jan 19) at a testing center in Amersfoort NL with Pearson Vue. The exam started around 13:30. I was informed prior to the exam that there was someone in the room that was taking an open book exam, and if the page turning that I might hear would be an issue, then I could use some (cheap, foam) ear plugs. I agreed to this arrangement, and in the end, the open book test taker was absolutely no issue. What I was not notified of prior to the exam (and would not have agreed to) was listening to a music/dance class/party that was taking place seemingly directly beneath our exam room. The base and music began around half way through my exam. Feel free to fact check my experience by consulting the proctor working at the time. I did put ear plugs in but to no avail. It was extremely distracting, and I had quite some difficulties to focus. After leaving the exam room, the exam proctor apologized for the music. An apology, though appreciated, doesn't fix the fact that I feel I had extremely unfair circumstances to take the exam in. I am therefore requesting a free retake, and preferably not in the same testing facility. I would prefer to take the re-exam in Veenendaal NL in hopes that the distractions in that facility are non-existent or at least less. Thanks in advance for understanding.
