Hi, Vishwanath.
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft community.
As we understand from your post, you have recently renewed your Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert Certification, but your Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Certificate expired. We are happy to help!
By design, each Certification must be renewed individually. Renewing a higher-level Certification will not extend the expiration date of other lower-level Certificates even if they are part of the same Certification path.
On the same note, if a Certification expires, it will not affect the status of other Certifications even if they belong to the same Certification path.
As stated in our expiration policy, after a Certification expires, it can no longer be renewed through the renewal assessment available on Microsoft Learn. In that case, candidates must complete all the Exams required to re-earn said Certification.
If you wish to re-activate your Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Certification, you must pass Exam AZ-500 again.
For more information on our renewal policy, please visit the article: Renew your Microsoft Certification | Microsoft Docs
