Scoring criteria for Multiple Choice Questions

Hi Team - What is the scoring criteria for multiple-choice questions in Azure Certification exams.

  1. Like, when the question states to select 2 correct answers out of given 5 choices. What if I have marked 1 correct and 1 wrong answer? Will the whole question be treated as wrong (or) will I get partial score?
  2. If it is partially scored, are the marks evenly divided to the no. of answers to choose? I mean 50% each if it is 2 answers type question, and 33% each if it 3 answers type questions?
  3. In the case of selecting THREE(considering 33% for every choice) answers, say out of 6 questions and if I marked 2 correct and 1 wrong, will I still secure 66% of the marks weightage for my 2 correct answers (or) will I score 33%, as I correct answer out of 2 is deducted due to answering the 3rd choice wrong.
  4. Do we have negative marking(deducting marks for wrong choice) in multiple-choice questions?

Asking this query, as I found no information on this elsewhere online and I got my exam scheduled next week. While I am doing good with other formats during practice, yet to get perfection handling multiple-choice questions.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sriharshak,

Most questions are with one point and if a question is worth more than one point, this information will be stated in the question.

Additionally, there is no negative marking or deduction if you choose an incorrect answer.
